Subj : Home Network To : All From : Bennie Hutto Date : Tue May 22 2001 05:05 pm Hello everybody! I have a question about networking 2 PC's and ADSL connectivity. I have 2 PC's I want to network, and already have DSL service, I have networked the 2 PC's together and they can see/talk to each other, but when I put my DSL modem in (USB-Alcatel), the server computer tries to make the ethernet adapter the 'default' adapter. The DSL modem syncs and has an internet connection, but I cannot surf. I have tried installing NetBUI, and several other protocols on both machines adapters as well as installing Sygate Network Manager, and Internet Sharing. Is there a way to make the Alcatel the 'defaylt' adapter? I know it's prolly something simple I've overlooked, but can't figure out what. My ISP will not support or give any advice. I had to remove my network adapter in the server machine to have normal internet access. Suggestions? Thanks in advance!
