Two options, if #1 doesn't work, you'll have to use #2. #1. Pre-partition a 2GB FAT16 partition on your 15GB drive, then run the NT installation again. This should get you around the glitch with the large drive. #2. If #1 doesn't work.. then there's a KB document on the Microsoft site that describes using the ATAPI.SYS driver from SP4 to build a patched set of boot floppies that will be able to communicate with your >8GB drive. btw... while you're building that 2GB partition, go ahead and copy the \i386 folder from the CDROM to your hard drive and run the installation from the hard drive... you'll be glad you did. :-) --- * Origin: lawrence@eforest.net | The Enchanted Forest (1:106/6018) .
