FWIW, it may depend on the game.  I have a 1990 vintage Risk game that
runs fine under Windows 2000 Pro.  The only quirk is that it locks on
exit.  You need to kill it from task manager.  Doesn't bother me, but..
May also depend on your video card and settings.
