Subj : Win98SE install? To : Charles Scaglione From : Craig Healy Date : Sat Jun 03 2000 01:10 pm -> CJ>Btw, how is Win2000 doing when it comes to gaming? Can I -> CJ>run games under Win2000 that runs just fine under 98/98SE? -> -> W2K supports games better than NT 4.0, however, games that try to -> control hardware (Doom, Quake, etc.) will not run. W2K is not a gami -> supportive OS, although it come with DirectX video and sound. FWIW, it may depend on the game. I have a 1990 vintage Risk game that runs fine under Windows 2000 Pro. The only quirk is that it locks on exit. You need to kill it from task manager. Doesn't bother me, but.. May also depend on your video card and settings. -c- --- ViaMAIL!/WC v1.60d * Origin: Chowdanet! (401-331-5587) telnet://chowdanet.com (1:323/120) .
