Subj : Bizarre Problem To : All From : Larry Athey Date : Sun Jan 07 2001 11:28 am This question only applies to Windows 95/98, I'm not sure if the problem exists in ME, but it doesn't exist in NT 4.0 or 2000. I set up a computer for a friend here and any time you launch a DOS program that runs in a batch file, from a shortcut link on the desktop, 9 times out of 10 you get this message and you can't close the window without pressing CTRL-C. When you have finished using º º it, press Ctrl+C to close this window and return to Windows. º ÈÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍͼ This doesn't happen if you link directly to a DOS executable, it strictly happens when you link to a batch file. Has anybody else seen this before? If so, do you know how to get rid of the problem? I've tried everuthing I can think of and I can't get rid of it. --- GoldED+/W32 1.1.4.5 * Origin: Larry's SGMail-Only System * Scottsbluff, Nebraska (1:14/703) .
