This question only applies to Windows 95/98, I'm not sure if the problem
exists in ME, but it doesn't exist in NT 4.0 or 2000.

I set up a computer for a friend here and any time you launch a DOS program
that runs in a batch file, from a shortcut link on the desktop, 9 times out
of 10 you get this message and you can't close the window without pressing
CTRL-C.

This doesn't happen if you link directly to a DOS executable, it strictly
happens when you link to a batch file. Has anybody else seen this before?
If so, do you know how to get rid of the problem? I've tried everuthing I
can think of and I can't get rid of it.
