Jeff, I found that changing the IRQ, base address, or bios address from default would prevent the system from booting unless you modified something in the bios and burnt a custom e-prom to reflect this. Got this info from the Adaptec site a long time ago when I was playing with Novell & duplexing. I was able to configure the 2nd (not bootable) controller so there wasnt a conflict, then use it in big red. Rich I-Net turtil@frontiernet.net ....
