Alexey: If you like to do some minor programming you can try this: Open your c:\windows\inf directory and find a file named MONITOR.INF. Make a backup of the file and save it somewhere. Then, look through the monitor.inf file very carefully using a text editor such as Wordpad or Notepad. Note how the names of the monitors are listed and the capabilities of each. Once you know the structure of the monitor.inf file, you can add your monitor to the file. To do that you need your owners manual in order to determine the various resolutions and scanning rates the monitor is capable of. DO NOT add any resolutions or scanning rates the monitor can not do otherwise you may damage it. After you change the monitor.inf file, go into Control Panel, System, Devices, and remove the monitor. Now, restart Win98 and let it detect the monitor. If the monitor is not "Plug N Play" detectable, you'll have to add it yourself. Win98 should use the new monitor.inf file. You now should be able to setup your video card to the resolution and scanning rates the monitor is capable of. Note: This method doesn't always work especially if the monitor can't be correctly identified by Win98, but it's worth a try. Good luck. cscag@flash.net CMPQwk 1.42 1262 --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: COMM Port OS/2 juge.com 204.89.247.1 (281) 980-9671 (1:106/2000) .
