In the past I've removed the "uninstall" folder right after making certain the service pack worked as advertised. (remember NT 4's SP 2?) But, instead of destroying the contents of the uninstall folder, I would copy it to a zip disk and save it just in case. That way, it can always be copied back to the HD and used to remove the SP in case of difficulty. However, the Service Pack uninstall info is now too large to fit on a single 100 MB zip disk and unless you use a Jaz drive (or the newer larger zip media) they can no longer be stored that way. I suggest instead (for Alan) to save the uninstall folder to a CD-RW, tape, or other suitable media and hold on to it for awhile. cscag@flash.net CMPQwk 1.42 1262 --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: COMM Port OS/2 juge.com 204.89.247.1 (281) 980-9671 (1:106/2000) .
