Note that the widely-used beta TweakUI for Windows 2000 expires on August 15--
coming right at us... and Microsoft doesn't seem to be interested in providing
a replacement.

(There's some gossip that Microsoft is claiming that the result of their court
case limits their ability to distribute freebies).

The TweakUI version included with Windows 98 seems to work OK with Win 2000
(you can download a copy from my website:
http://411.vsb.bc.ca/itmentor/alan/files), though it has the awkward
scroll-through-the-tabs interface.

However, in order to properly install another TweakUI version, you may need to
uninstall the beta BEFORE the expiration date-- after the date, even if you
uninstall the beta and install another version, you may find that the new
version also claims to have expired.
