I know what the real problem is here. Back in 1993 we had the NTbeta forum where the developers and managers hung out with the leading edge real world people. They got useful feedback from people like us about a product while it was still in development. The NT team has become insulated from us. They don't hear the crys anymore. My post just now to Rich about the Win95 team being in charge of NT is the perfect example. That is the sort of post the NT team should be reading inside a thread about old hardware that was supported but for which support is now being dropped. I'd like to see their response, it's possible there is a very good reason but if they don't get to tell people about it then how can we tell people about it? It's a lot easier to accept some things if you know about a good reason, like why dos games don't run, etc. You can't talk to the NT team anymore, I'm afraid to say something like that post about win95 team over on the beta forums for fear that I'll be dropped from the beta (they don't want discussion they want bug reports). The NT team seriously needs to find a place where they can bang heads with bleeding edge types, get some honest feedback, explain a few things, and generally have some fun again. That's not going to happen on company run news servers or on AOL forums but it needs to happen. Geo. --- BBBS/NT v4.00 MP * Origin: Barktopia Gating Project http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) .
