I don't know as I couldn't see anything since the screen would go black and 
stay that way. My solution was to borrow the kids monitor, install, then put my 
monitor back on it. I found I couldn't set it to anything above 60Hz with this 
monitor at 1260x1024x16m.

My guess would be 70 or 72Hz.

It's bug XP2263 if you are interested. So far they have not been able to 
reproduce it but that's because they don't have one of these monitors.

     To what does Whistler set the resolution?  For me Whistler clean
installs start in 640x480 @ 60 Hz and suggest 800x600 @ 60 Hz on first boot. 
Upgrades start in the resolution that I was using when I ran the setup program.
