Photoshop can eat up memory like nobody's business.

But so far the biggest boost seems to be the built in windows backup program. 
It's doing about 300mb/min now (much faster than before) and I suspect it's due 
to backing up from one IDE drive to another and now the system has 900mb of 
disk cache <g>.

when the backup isn't running I almost never hear the disks going anymore
<g>.
