Convenience might mean, for example, that an invoice for multiple new/upgrade copies of Windows (or multiple new PCs) serves as proof of license, so that I don't have to tie registration numbers to individual machines. All companies track invoices. Why should we have to maintain separate files for license certificates when the invoice proves that we bought and paid for the software? > As for a wedged machine, I have six computers in my office and no problem reading stickers on the side or top of any of them. Maybe by inconvience you mean having to kneel on the floor. I've seen many, many people bury their computers, leaving only part of the front visible. By inconvenience I mean having to either move books, file folders, pictures of kids, purses, coffee cups, plants, or whatever else people manage to pile on or against their compters. > How do you tag your computers so that you can track them as physical assets? With a bar code sticker on the fronts of desktops or on the (closed) tops of laptops. Where are the Windows serial number stickers you mentioned located? --- BBBS/NT v4.00 MP * Origin: Barktopia Gating Project http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) .
