Subj : Re: Lost software license To : Rich From : Geo. Date : Sat Mar 31 2001 09:51 am From: "Geo." Usually an IT person will use the same reg number on every machine he works on even though the license for each machine shows a different reg number. This is a standard practice out here in the real world and a reason why the online registration is going to be a nightmare. It's tough enough just making sure every piece of software on every machine is legal, trying to track reg numbers by machine and software product would be pure insanity considering the time constraints most understaffed IT departments are under when a machine is down. If so, this is outside the realm of a single computer retail product. You aren't going to get 40 different license keys on a single CD-ROM. Have you considered a volume license? Isn't 40 computers enough for this to be viable? Rich --- XP Toss HTML Stripper v0.3.5 * Origin: Barktopia Gating Project (1:379/45) .
