Subj : Re: anyone recommend backup solution To : Geo. From : Alan Cairns Date : Fri Mar 30 2001 11:41 am From: "Alan Cairns" Last night I imaged my working Win2k partition, with all the software and data. The partition is 26 GB, 4.13 of which are used. It took an hour. The data transfer rate is about 180 MB/minute. But you're right. Today's big drives are a backup problem. My strategy is to image the bulk of it, and rely on backup for the data. -- Alan alancairns@dccnet.com "Geo." wrote in message news:3ac54de4$1@w3.nls.net... > "Alan Cairns" wrote in message > news:3ac54405@w3.nls.net... > > A full installation of Windows2k with some utilities takes up about 700 > MB, > > and can be imaged in 15 minutes.
