Not sure how they work.. but I have heard of some IBM servers, with specialized 
RAID cards, that can supposedly mirror the contents of a HD, that has been 
hot-swapped... within minutes!

this was on an IBM promo advert video.. so maybe I missed something.. or maybe 
they are bragging? :)   will have to research further...

(probably fibre channel HD's anyway!)
