'dirty' and 'unclean' if I didn't reinstall my OS and all applications every 6 months or so! and it's not just windows (although it mainly is) I used to do the same thing with DOS.. although usually only once a year.. when upgrading to a newer HD. nothing like a nice fresh Win2K install... an especially now, since I made a ghost image on a bootable CD.. insert disc.. boot.. 5 minutes later.. back to normal.. complete with my nice desktop/icons/tweaks/hacks all installed :-) I've long since learned the benefits of having multiple HD's in one computer.. it's just easier now with NT/Win2K that I can re-arrange drive letters on the fly.
