I forget the names, but there are three compendium executables that are built *for that computer* during Win98 install. There were notorious cases of the MSCONFIG program's insisting the proper version of one file was "corrupt." MSCONFIG wanted to restore the temporary setup-version of one file from the miniCAB in \OPTIONS\CABS or from the CD. This would produce an inoperable computer. You had no other version of the file.
