I think it's in the NT family too, and part of the mechanism that runs when the 
stub COMMAND.COM is called.  If anyone has an old MS Developer's Journal disk, 
you could search.

I'd love to get my hands on some of those old articles, actually.  That'd be 
violating someone's NDA or subscription agreement, though, right (g)?
