I find it runs queries in a reasonable amount of time, but it definitely wants 
the machine all to itself, or as close to that as possible.

The very first query I ran using it was against 5 tables, the largest of which 
has ~45 million rows... it took 7 minutes and returned ~117,000 rows.  I 
thought that was very acceptable performance.

Are you fronting DB2 with it?  Or you guys have an actual data warehouse?
