TurboTax also installs C'Dilla, a spyware program that does many interesting things.... SpyBot Search and Destroy will remove C'Dilla and then TurboTax won't run. I uninstalled TurboTax, used their removal program from their website to remove C'Dilla and found it didn't remove it all, it still sat there and I had to weed it out of the registry key by key! I returned TurboTax to Staples. The manager reminded me they wouldn't take opened software back, I showed him a copy of the EULA which I'd had the foresight to print out which said "if you don't agree with this EULA, return the software to the store for a full refund" or words to that effect. I also pointed out that EVERY EULA had the same language and it was necessary to open the box and install the software before you could read the EULA! I said that the statement in the EULA pretty much guaranteed Intuit would cover the cost to Staples and he did give me a refund! So I bought TaxCut and a few other things because I appreciated his taking back the TurboTax. I also wrote a very nasty email to Intuit informing them I was a customer for many years (since about 1983?) but I now had MS Money and TaxCut and would not return to Intuit, their putting a really rotten bit of notorious spyware on my computer w/o telling me in advance was absolutely unacceptable! So now the point of all this: I like TaxCut! I thought maybe I would prefer TurboTax but TaxCut may even be easier to use! It imported my Quicken files with no problems at all and I think I'm gonna like it at least as well as TT, maybe better! David R.
