I myself run WinXP, a very legal copy.. This past Friday out of RC> necessity, I had to replace the motherboard, CHIP and RC> video.. Only original hardware was the 2 hard drives, RC> the floppy, the CD burner and DVD reader drives, new RC> motherboard has built in sound and LAN, old one I had RC> the LAN and sound on PCI cards. Old memory RC> configuration was 3 DIMM chips 256m each PC100, new one RC> is 2 DIMM chips 512m each PC133. Oddly enough with this RC> much of a hardware change, I did not have to reactivate RC> == RC> Ross You're lucky. It will probably catch you on the next really minor change. I'm not passing judgement on his legal use of the software but I have no use for the Microsoft Activation scheme - that's why I'm sticking with Win2000 Pro. Intuit has jumped on that bandswagon with Turbotax this year.I may switch to Tax Cut next year after being a loyal purchaser since 1989.
