Oh I was just amazed that I wasnt forced to do a reactivation with as much hardware change I did do, but I think I may know why?? The new processor is a palamino core AMD Athlon XP 1700+, initially after firing up the new setup, I kept getting an error message stating "error loading operating system". I called Microsoft up and they told me that if I did a install (to repair an existing installation) it should be fine, did that when install went to reboot (had booted to install disk) still same error. It was determined that I needed to flash the motherboards BIOS, once I did that system booted and the rest of the repai install completed.. I suppose if I had deduced the flashing BIOS part before trying a install, I would have been prompted to do a reactivation but I suppose when a reinstall/repair is done it somehow fixes that. == Ross Official Fidonet Region 18 Home Page: http://www.region18.info BBS: http://www.the-estar.com:8080 - telnet://the-estar.com ross@easternstar.info | ICQ: 5305939 | Blog: http://www.iblog.us ....
