Subj : Topic Material To : DALE A COOK From : CHRIS CRANFORD Date : Tue Aug 27 2002 11:02 am Hello Dale! -> CC> I am creating a WIN2000_BBS echo. For the time being, not -> realizing ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^pLEASE LET me know -> when it gets on the backbone......it has my support/nomination or -> whatever. Looking over the past history of echos in Fidonet and talking to several people who have been in Fidonet longer than myself, I felt it was better to change the description of the echo to allow a broader range of topics in this very conference. Instead of creating a WIN2000_BBS echo which may have contained a lot of traffic, I would have been taking a chance that WIN2000 traffic would die off and then we'd loose this echo on the backbone, so therefore, I opened this echo up to the following rules & descriptions: -!------- < Quoted form WIN2000 Rules posted 8/26/00 > ----------- The WIN2000 - Windows 2000 Support Echo is a community environment for all Windows users, programmers, and operators who are looking for Technical assistance, information, and the convergence of Win95-based and NT-based operating systems with Windows 2000. We do provide discussions on anything that is Windows 2000 related whether it be BBS questions, compatibility issues, or just wanting to discuss the functionality of the operating system. We realize this product is still new and in many areas, may not be territory that we're all familar with so therefore this echo is to allow anyone who has any questions which are directly or indirectly related to Windows 2000 to proposes those questions and get their desired responses that which they need. Currently, this conference is available to all persons even if they are programmers, developers, users, or operators of Windows 95, 98, NT, or 2000 machines. The Moderator retains the right to close to Conference to SysOps or specific groups of individuals without prior notice. As moderator, I ask that all SysOps try to monitor messages published here by their clients/callers for related topic material that pertains to this conferences purpose. -!------------------- < End Quoted Message > --------------------- So unless due to very very high volumed traffic in this echo, I won't be openning that conference as of yet; however that isn't to say it won't be opened in the future. The traffic in this echo will determine that :) Regards Chris Cranford TKD Software, Inc. http://www.tkdsoftware.com WIN2000, VISUAL_BASIC, WC_TECH, & CABLE_MODEMS Moderator --- Mail-ennium/32 v1.01.301.4/#01-0001 * Origin: Thanks for using Mail-ennium/32 (1:379/1200.0) .
