Subj : Slow network browsing?

Hello All!

I'm just curious about something - I've got Win2k-Pro installed on my laptop, 
and when I connect to various networks (work, home, customer premeses, etc..) 
it seems to take forever and a day to browse the "Network Neighborhood". Win'98 
machines do this at lightening speeds, but 2k continues to lag behind.

It even takes a lot time on the second browse of a workgroup. ie: I browse the 
"smokey" workgroup, close "Network Neighborhood", re-open it, try to browse 
"smokey" again and I have to wait as much as 30 seconds to a full minute.

I've tried this with and without NetBEUI enabled - any suggestions?
