Subj : Can I *NOT* install Outlook Express?

I've been using Xnews as a newsreader and Pegasus Mail for email in Windows 
2000.  I've uninstalled Outlook Express according to instructions on the MS 
website but it's a REAL PITA to do so!

If I were ever to format and do a fresh install is it possible to NOT 
install OE?  Is there a way to update a fresh install with MSIE 6.0 and not 
install OE?

I don't think it's possible but I think maybe it'd be easier that way that 
having to remove it after installation.

Any ideas?  Thanks!
