My opinion of SCSI (FWIW) DRN>is that it's great but too costly and until the price of decent cards comes DRN>down more and SCSI devices cost the same as ATAPI it'll never get the DRN>respect it deserves... There are VERY good SCSI cards put out by TEKRAM - they are equal to Adaptec in every area I have tried. The DC315 (no boot bios) only costs $37.00 at my supplier. There is a better card that allows booting SCSI for something under $100.00 - I used it for a long time. I no longer have SCSI hard drives - with the present day price, speed and capacity of IDE why bother. However, I do have a internal SCSI Yamaha 16x10x40x CDRW, SCSI Jaz and external SCSI flat bed scanner, SCSI slide scanner, and SCSI ZIP. The beauty of SCSI is no problems with IRQs, DMAs and such. I highly recommend the Tekram SCSI cards - they have ALL flavors of them.
