When the install of XP Pro told me to uninstall at least 20 pieces of software, I wondered if the Monopoly actions of the courts would even be enforced. Apparently, it was just a last attempt by MS to thumb their nose at us. I'm glad I chose not to install it! Hopefully the changes will allow my expensive software to co-exist with the new XP. Otherwise, I'll stick with Win 98, until some new competitive OS drops from the heavens. Unfortunately, I don't think Linux can move fast enough in that direction.
