Smaller pool eh ;-) I've limited means and my 6.4 gig H.D. croaked on the H.P. Despite that small size I had Win 98 and Knoppix Linux installed dual boot :-) TA> The Red Sox were playing off against the Yankees so we gave up TA> for the moment; Formally from the Boston burbs :-) TA> but if you think the Siig and/or Belkin cards TA> might work for me to make use of the full 160GB (after the Red TA> Sox <-> Cardinals plays off again already 8-) I would appreciate TA> some identification details please. Go to www.compusa.com, select computer peripherals, I/O cards. You'll be returned a page with all sorts of I/O cards, select IDE and it'll be narrowed down further. After that you're presented a very few choices of some no-name, maginally known names and brand name I/O cards. Open a new window to each cards info link and you'll get the exact specifications. Review or save HTML to review at your leisure. The Belkins card is pricier but carries a lifetime warrantee. The Siig card is ten dollars cheaper. I'm planning on springing for the Belkins card just because of the lifetime warrantee. I suspect the Siig card would also be suitable to my requirements after reviewing its' specs. Both cards are of course PCI internal. Hope this is of some help. If you still have difficulty locating the cards I mentioned I'll locate them myself and send along their exact urls. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5 * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
