I checked out the settings. I checked the settings and I have it set to 
automatically decect settings for the proxy settings.
Oh well, I may never figure out what is keeping me from downloading 
critical updates. LOL I may just have to live with it until I decide to 
put in a new hard drive or build a new system.....
