If I understand you correctly, you want WaterGate to translate the e-mails in 
the conference "email" to netmail in the conference "netmail" (and vv)?

As far as I know that's not possible. For gating net/email you will need a feed 
for the e-mail from your ISP which is supported by WaterGate (uucp, smtp, pop3, 
bag), but I've never seen a possibility to gate between two conferences.

Perhaps it still is possible, if it's not just a connection between two 
conferences. Which protocol are you using to send/receive e-mail 
(uucp/smtp/pop3 ...)? It seems to me that you will have to start looking in 
that direction. If it's one of the protocols WaterGate is supporting, it should 
be possible. There are several options in the "link defenitions" for setting 
those links/protocols.
