I didn't had a look to your code, but yes there are some issues with 
NPTL 0.29. It is (more or less) known that this version of the NPTL has 
some BUGS notably around condvars. See:

Notice that NPTL 0.29 is quite obselete. I would recommend to use the 
latest NPTL shipped with glibc 2.3.4-2 (download it from a Fedora Core 3 
with yum). Or at least, download the glibc version found at the URL 
given above.
