Anyway we're dealing with more pragmatic issues here, implementing stuff outside the Posix pthreads standards. The pragmatic part means ignoring the useless if we stray from Posix, we stray from the one true road of portability advice, and the hypothetical anything can be broken situations. -- Joe Seigh .
