Ok, thanks David.

While your reply made me want to keep the dcom functionality, I feel
that the project has grown too much for me not to loose the overview of
it.

It's currently at 7 projects in parallel with at least 200+ hand
created files (explorer shows 1300 files after selecting the clean
projects option), and dcom is mainly responsible for this. Since it's
more of an extra feature and not a necessity, I'll dump it.
