Hello Fran, I've been swamped recently and haven't been able to test
the theories and suggestions so generously provided by the community,
but trust me, I will... I modified the test program written by our
friend Greg Menke to add "bins" (as in "buckets" not "binaries"). I
modified it to contain one extra bucket for the "Overflows" (and
removed the printf), I removed the unnecessary check for wraparound of
gethrtime since the program probably won't run for a couple of
centuries ;-) I defined "overflow" to be more than 100 ms and I created
only 10 buckets instead of Greg's 50. I have been meaning to run my
series of tests with the modified program but haven't had a chance
yet... I will do this shortly. Thanks a lot for your interest in this
problem and for your earlier posts... Imagine what the human race could
achieve if everybody was willing to share their knowledge freely,
politely, and unselfishly like so many contributors to Usenet... I want
to take this opportunity to thank you personally for doing your part...
