I guess I can see what you are trying to do, but can not see an 
advantage so far. So a chain is a composition of different threads 
acting as producer, consumer or interchange. Where a interchange is 
basically a consumer and producer.

I think a good designed message queue is much easier to use and more 
generic, but maybe you can convince me otherwise ;-)
