Exactly (though, this precision seems to me exaggerated. But anyway...)

Incidently (likely not ;-), 1 msec corresponds to a kernel tick with a
2.6.x kernel. From my feelings, resolution could/should be finer.

Perhaps is it an issue of the hrtimers library?
