Fedora Core 3!

only problems i really heard was from the installation of grub.
i've been using FC3 with gnome, and it has really been fine.

if you're looking for stable releases, go for debian.
mandrake is easy to install, and with kde it's colourful, customizable and
fun.

Suse, i don't know as i've yet to get their professional CDs.
