How can I achieve this ? I have added the following line to /etc/inetd.conf and restarted the internet superserver: imap stream tcp nowait root /usr/local/sbin/bincimap-up I try a telnet session: charon:/etc/init.d# telnet localhost 143 Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost. Escape character is '^]'. Connection closed by foreign host. Ok, I guess that the inetd entry works. I haven't done any configuration to bincimap at this stage, so I guess that I need to make a file /etc/bincimap/bincimap.conf in order for the telnet session to work. I am still investigating this. -- Mark Hobley 393 Quinton Road West QUINTON Birmingham B32 1QE Reply to: markhobley at hotpop dot do_not_type_this_bit com http://markhobley.yi.org/ .
