Subj : browser exclusion? To : comp.os.linux From : Pandora Xero Date : Thu Dec 09 2004 09:22 pm I was wondering, I'm making a collection of webpages, and I was wondering if there's a way to prevent certain browsers from viewing the pages... especially browsers which pose a security threat to inferior Operating Systems. such as one that is known by its initials: IE. Basically, I want the page to redirect Internet Exploder to the page to download Firefox without showing so much as a single pixel of my webpages. I only want to exclude Exploder and variants (eg Slimbrowser, Maxthon). As a side note, the exclusion will have to be built into the pages, as they will hosted on a remote server that DOES NOT BELONG TO ME TIA --Xero -- if all else fails: go fsck yourself! the email address is not real (leading numbers are an obvious indication) to get the real address, take each individual part and flip it around so eman@elpmaxe.ten would be name@example.net .
