Thank you for your example. IT's very similar to all the ones I've seen and used. Further examples are not necessary, as it is common practise to have the fqhn in that field. "Proof by example", "Proof by blatant assertion" and "Proof by intimidation" are not required. However, the point is to find an authoritative statement that the 'canonical_hostname' as described in the man page is, in fact, the fully qualified host name (fqhn).
