Subj : blocking most IPs (newbie question) To : comp.os.linux From : Eric Peterson Date : Mon Nov 08 2004 11:18 pm I'm setting up a linux box for backing up computers in our office. The box is on a local IP behind a firewall so I'm pretty confident that it is not visible to the world. However, I do no our office computers are visible to computers in nearby offices within the same organization. I'd like to block out all incoming connections except those within our office (a very limited range of IPs). I've been googling for howtos a bit, but I don't really even know where to get started or just what to search for. Any suggestions? (using Debian, no GUI) Thanks! -Eric .
