Yeah no kidding. I "poo poo'ed" this advice and made my windows ntfs partition writabe to linux. Had a ball with it, trying wine on all the windows executables, etc. It did not take very long for linux to wreck my c:\windows directory. Strange folders, filenames corrupted, etc. Don't allow linux to write directly to an ntfs file system. samba can write to it on a windows machine but don't put an ntfs drive in a linux machine. -- tinykitty "ay tea" newsguy "dee oh tea" com ~Ohmster .
