As long as you keep the drive in the Linux box, you can just use ext3 or any other Linux file system. That I'm not so sure. See previous point and other replies to your question: because the drive will not be NTFS you won't just be able to plop it into a Windows box and be able to read it. I'm not sure on what would happen if the drive were FAT32, presumably that would work. However, if the drive is ext2, ReiserFS or somesuch, you would definitely not be able to read it from a Windows box. At least not without additional drivers. > Thanks! > -Eric > > .
