Which IMHO makes rsync an even better choice. Michael pointed out a couple of shortcomings in the script he posted. You can change the script to address them or if you're lucky Michael or someone else might do it for you. However, any bugs in the script that go unnoticed will result in a bad backup. Rsync has already been tested and is being used by many people for backing up already. I think rsync is the safer option. -- Andy. .
