Subj : Linux On A Powerbook

I recently bought my first Apple (17" Powerbook) and I'm looking to 
install linux on it.  While I'm familar with x86 distros like 
RedHat/Fedora, Mandrake, and SuSe I don't know a whole lot about 
distros that run on Apple computers.  I've been reading about Yellow 
Dog Linux & Gentoo but I've never used either.  Does anyone have any 
advice on this topic?
