Subj : my one complaint..shortcut key assignments To : comp.os.linux From : Eldon Tyrell Date : Sat Oct 23 2004 11:14 am ive been using linux at home for a couple of years now and i like it. the one thing i miss from windows is the ability to assign shortcut key combinations to actions. for example, if im using XFCE as window manager, and Gentoo as file manager. i want a daemon running in the background that lets me define "alt-ctrl-e" to open up gentoo or worker. is there a standalone program to do this? i dont want to do it through KDE or gnome. .
