Subj : Mozilla 1.6 font printing Novell Suse 9.1 To : comp.os.linux From : Dave the Wave Date : Mon Oct 11 2004 04:18 pm Hello group: My brother-in-law is a little nervous about the security exploit issues with Microsoft Explorer. He doesn't want to use his machine to download a document. He knows I use Linux and wanted me to download an Excel document and print it out. I said no problem I've got open office. The Excel document wasn't the problem but the contact information in HTML was. To my embarrassment, Mozilla printed out the contact information in this weird 'timber log' type font. I RTFM and exhausted my options on how to rectify the problem. I went through all the font config areas I knew of. I'm stuck. I want to fix this. I'm on a Soyo P4S Dragon, 512MB ram, Suse 9.1 with 2.6.5-7.108 kernel, Mozilla 1.6 (most recent patch), and KDE 3.2 (most recent core base patch). I am so use to WYSIWYG of Windows XP, so this really surprised me with Linux! A glitch like this has never happened before in what apps I use. Novell if your reading, please QC your included packages with the next distro so they work as advertised. Quality is everything! Dumping a web page to printer is a routine function at home or office. Try reading 'Lincoln log text!' So if someone would be so kind in posting a fix, I would sure appreciate it. Thank you in advance ! Sincerely, David St. Paul, MN .
