Ok, then that's something new. I'm not using Fedora, so I don't know
their particularities.

In modules.conf the syntax would have been:

post-install 8139too /sbin/mii-tool --force 100baseTx-FD eth0

Replace 8139too with the right module for your NIC. Perhaps just
'eth0' will work too, but I never used that.
