The answer is, of course, the size that fits you best. Since you have all these disks, I suggest that you actually install them and see what you like. True, this is time-consuming and often difficult, especially if you run into hardware problems and have to track down drivers or modules. But it's a great experience and it will give you knowledge you could never get from just asking on a newsgroup. And then you could come back and tell people here what the best distro is... .
