Subj : Partition blues, dual boot, FC2 (Linux newbie) To : comp.os.linux From : thesandybear Date : Thu Sep 16 2004 08:17 am Hello. Trying to come up with a reasonable partition scheme on a pc that will ultimately serve as apache server over a dsl connection. Have tried the following: HDD 80 GB (single drive), Celeron 1.7, 512 MB RAM hd1:ntfs (windows XP pro), 4 GB primary. hd2:ntfs (for user data), 65 GB, extended, logical. hd3:ext3, /boot, 100 MB hd4:ext3, /, 9 GB hd5:swap, 1100 MB What is wrong with this picture? Disk Druid will not let me partition the drive in this manner, if I take away hd2 it will work, but I want to have the ntfs partitions contigious. Any points on how to use a zoneedit non-fixed ip under apache would also be apreciated. Thanks, Sandy .
